Hello, World
The first post on the Thread & Signal blog — who we are, what we weave, and what to expect here.
Welcome to the Thread & Signal blog. This is the workshop journal: technical deep-dives, project updates, and lessons learned from building automation, agents, and physical designs — by hand, on hardware we own.
What we’re working on
The center of the bench is the Animus project — an open-source agentic coding harness for small local models (1B–14B GGUF), written in Rust — plus a line of harness-agnostic agent skills (Sprint Loops, GECK, MDR) and a steady stream of CAD and 3D-printing work. We’ll be documenting all of it here.
What to expect
- Local-first AI: agents and LLM deployments that never leave the building
- Agent skills and loop engineering across Claude Code, Codex, and open harnesses
- CAD, 3D printing, and design-for-manufacturing notes
- General software craft, mostly in Rust and Python
Stay tuned. The loom is warmed up.
